At our clients request and in consultation with the designer we have done an in-house update to the cabin. Main aim to achieve here was to get better headroom in the forward half of the cabin and increase interior volume while keeping asthetics within the hull lines. A lot of discussion has been part of this and here are the pros and cons we agreed upon:
Pros
- More head room
- More interior volume
- Better visibility from inside the cabin
- Flat area to work at the mast
- Flat roof easier to attach hardware and solar panels
- Modern look
- Larger water catchment
- Hand rails will be at a more ergonomic height giving safer walking on deck around the saloon roof
Cons
- More windage
Working out the design by making plywood templates
Working out and applying a ‘beefed up’ structure for the cabin roof.
Fitting the aluminium plate and final adjustments
Some will like the new look and others will not but we think it is a good update and the client is very happy with the way it has turned out.

Interesting evolution. So you are open to customize a bit?
Only with cabin, would not change hull lines and structure.
Thank you. That is what interests me. I’ll contact you by email
