Factory expansion and Progress Update

Mumby 48 hull #1 and #2. For the months of June and July we have made a 250M2 addition to the factory building and moved hull #1 to the new fit-out area. Got this done just before the onset of the monsoon rains.

Built the trailer for moving and launching, it is fairly simple as our ramp goes directly from the factory to the river. The only special requirement is for the ability to partially dismantle it when the boat aft section hits the water. If we don’t do this the trailer will drop 8M straight down off the end of our steep ramp..

Parts from Osculati in Italy have arrived as has marine grade, tinned cable direct from the factory in Thailand. Orders for Victron and Bluesea parts processed in March for the electrical system are still to arrive, delivery time these days seems so slow.

Hatches are made in-house, bending of front beam parts was out sourced to a fabrication factory in Phnom Penh as our small press brake cannot handle the 3M length of each part.

Hull #1 is ready for electrical fit-out with floor supports and water tanks complete. Tank tops are ready to weld on.

When the rains finish in a few months we will further expand the factory at the rear to provide another 200M2 of space. This will enable the start of hull #3.
